Attention never dies out, and I see new brands growing everyday. The more attention you have, the faster your brand will grow.
Why do you need a brand? And what is a brand?
Really, anything can be a brand nowadays, but in this publication, we’re speaking about something you built that you can sell.
In all retrospect, my YouTube channel, my social media channels, my podcast (which you should listen to), are all brands.
But the idea is, what can I build out of these?
In my mind, those channels are prerequisites to real brands—they’re what you use to build attention to build your real brand.
But even big creators eventually create a brand, or merch, or a program that they tie ownership in.
Not only can your pockets become fat from this, but you own an asset that is customized by you and reflects your efforts and personality.
You need a brand if you want to become wealthy
You want longevity in the online space and you want a cash-flowing business or recognition forever.
But I want to warn you, whether you’re a creator or not and you’re trying to start a clothing brand or something else, you may not want to start something too early.
What are the Dangers with starting a brand too early?
A brand is built slowly.
There are over 80,000 clothing brands with 1-10 employees on LinkedIn alone. But don’t let that stop you.
I stand by what I said…
Starting and growing a brand is easier than ever today, but you have to be smart.
The future right now is in the economy of services and high skilled people servicing brands or other industries.
Sales, Marketing, etc.
But attention never dies out, and I see new brands growing everyday.
The more attention you have, the faster your brand will grow.
Brands like Gymshark and Craftd London have done this well.
I myself have plans to build a big brand.
I, like all of you guys, want to make money and build it right.
I’ll give you guys the three steps i’m going to capitalize on for my brand in 2023-2024 depending on when I decide to launch:
1) The most important thing i’m going to do is have amazing suppliers and making sure the designs are good, it represents my personality, and the website, email marketing, ads, are all tied together.
Now i’m gonna be honest, I am not the type of person to take two days to write business plans because i’ve written multiple business plans for other businesses.
I like figuring it out as I go and spending time making it perfect at the same time.
2) The next thing i’m going to absolutely perfect is UGC and getting people to represent right away.
Don’t let your dumbass ego stop you from this.
Make other people represent your brand.
Give away your shit for free.
Ask people to create TikToks with the brand.
There are so many people in the UGC space right now that it’s impossible not to find people.
A quick side note on this: this is how Gymshark got so popular, they made all the gymrats wear their brand and everyone wanted a piece — billion dollar brand now btw.
3) Third and finally…
I’m going to run paid ads and create content around this brand and use constant scarcity and deals tactics.
Constant attention is never a bad thing.
Run ads, retarget, and never get your brand out of customers faces.
Even if you have to target specific people right away and run up your CPC.
One of the things I love about brands nowadays whether that be clothing or jewelry is exclusivity.
People are treating their brands like luxury brands and It’s amazing.
I’m tired of cheap clothes and jewelry from China and Shein.
Everyone’s tired of cheap clothes and jewelry from China.
If you’ve seen brands on TikTok, you understand what i’m talking about, and i’ll show you.
Lastly, as I mentioned, you want to run constant discounts.
Make customers want to buy your product and give them a deal.
With everything I mentioned today, you should be on your way to creating an amazing brand.
